Rafting is popular in the area, but unless you are an expert, it should only be attempted in an organised group.

There are several scenic walks in the area. The most famous one is GR4 from Point Sublime to the bottom of the canyon. There are also via ferrata routes nearby

Verdon Gorge has long been an established as a classic rock climbing area that offers a wide variety of climbing, with over a 1,000 routes. Here there is everything from short friendly sport routes, to big wall rock climbing that are both bolted and with traditional protection that requires plenty of commitment. Whilst it is possible to walk down the gorge to some routes, the Verdon experience is abseiling down, pulling the ropes and climbing out.

The magical Moustiers Ste-Marie is one of the two main jumping-off points for exploring the gorges. It has a centuries-old gold start on 227m-long chain strung between its cliffs.

Point Sublime offers a fisheye-lens view of serrated rock formations falling away to the river below.

There is a number of good canyonig tracks around Verdon, including the most beautiful canyons in the South of France: Haut Jabron, St Auban, Chaudan, Riolan, Bollène, Lance, Aiglun, Raton.

At 182m, Artuby Bridge is the highest bridge in Europe. Adrenaline seekers can throw themselves off the bridge for a heart-popping saut a l'elastique (bungee jump).
