• Rafting the Scuol Gorge
  

  
  The Scuol Gorge is a 8km long white-water run that starts 5 km above Scuol and finishes 3km below the village in the Pradella Lake. It is a very scenic run that has also includes some very enjoyable and exciting white-water.
  
  

• Schloss Tarasp
  

  
  Perched on a clifftop, this turreted castle is definite fairy-tale material. Guided tours of the almost 1000-year-old castle lead through wood-panelled, chandelier-lit chambers, a ruby red banqueting hall and a humble Romanesque chapel with some highly atmospheric frescoes.

  The Lower Engadine Valley is not as good as the Upper Engadine for x-country skiing. One long trail is from Scuol to Martina. Another is from Zernez via Susch to Giarsun.
