Davos Parsenn Klosters is a renowned ski area combining slopes over Davos and Klosters, connected over the top. 100 km of trails, 2,850 m summit, 1,300 m vertical, 22 lifts (including 2 funiculairs and 7 gondolas). Very good off-piste.
-
Jakobshorn is a mountain of the Albula Alps, overlooking Davos. It is one of the five skiing regions of the Davos Klosters Mountains, offering 60 km of trails, 2500 m summit, 1,000 m vertical, 11 lifts. Nearby (but not linked) Rinerhorn is the 'insiders' secret' out of all of Davos Klosters' mountains. This ski arena is challenging and far away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds.
-
Davos is famous for its ice sports and skiing, and almost more celebrated for hosting the annual World Economic Forum. Except for a few token historic structures and brightly painted buildings, the town is modern and architecturally undistinguished. But no matter how densely populated and fast-paced the town becomes, the slopes are still spectacular, and the regulars return.
-
Lake Davos is a small and cute natural lake on the outskirts of Davos.
-
Wolfgang Pass is a high mountain pass in the Alps in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It connects Klosters and Davos with Davos being almost level with the pass. The pass road has a maximum grade of 10 percent and is kept open year-round.
-
The Pischahorn is a mountain of the Silvretta Alps, located east of Davos. Several trails lead to its summit. It has a small ski area, with just 3 lifts, and because of this it is one of Switzerland's largest and sunniest freeriding regions.
-
The Landwasser is a river in canton of Graubünden. Its origin was Lake Davos before this was turned into a reservoir for a power station. An iconic 65m (200 ft) high viaduct built around 1900 spans over it.
-
The Flüela Wisshorn is a mountain of the Silvretta Alps, overlooking the Flüela Pass in the Swiss canton of Graubünden.
