Leukerbad is a spa resort. The history of the springs of Leukerbad dates back to the Roman times. Several baths are at the disposal of the guests in private hotels, in the Rehabilitation centre and in the Volksheilbad, but the biggest public baths are the Burgerbad and the Lindner Alpentherme.

The longest via ferrata in Switzerland, built into Daubenhorn's rock face which allows access to the summit. Long, vertical ladders, with steep and strength-sapping climbs. The backdrop is grandiose, and the views across and down are fantastic.

Gemmi Pass is a 2,270 m-high mountain pass across the Bernese Alps connecting Leukerbad with the canton of Bern.It is accessible from Leukerbad by cableway or up a steep cliff path. Impressive view of the Bernese and Valais Alps. Right on the pass is Daubensee lake. It is the site of the annual Shepherd Festival held on the last Sunday in July.
