The Aqueduct of Segovia is a Roman aqueduct and one of the most significant and best-preserved ancient monuments left on the Iberian Peninsula.

The Alcázar of Segovia is a stone fortification rising out on a rocky crag above the confluence of the rivers Eresma and Clamores near the Guadarrama mountains. Walt Disney is said to have modelled Sleeping Beauty's castle in California's Disneyland on Segovia's Alcázar.

Completed in 1590, Segovia Cathedral was built to replace an earlier one destroyed during the revolt of the Comuneros against Carlos V. It's one of the country's last great examples of the Gothic style. It is located in the main square of the city, the Plaza Mayor

All Spanish coins were minted here from 1455 to 1730. After extensive renovations, the building reopened in 2011. Walking down to the riverside complex is pleasant, along a shady path that offers views of the city.

The Walls of Segovia existed when Alfonso VI of León and Castile took the city to the Arabs, who commanded to enlarge it, bringing it to have a perimeter of 3 kilometers, eighty towers and several doors. It was built mainly with granite blocks but also reused gravestones of the Roman necropolis. The wall encircles the historic quarter and currently maintains three doors: San Cebrián, of great austerity; Santiago, of Mudéjar appearance; and San Andrés, gateway to the Jewish quarter; and the breaches of Consuelo, San Juan, the Sun, and the Moon.

Royal Palace of La Granja is located 11 km (7 mi) southeast of Segovia on the northern slopes of the Sierra de Guadarrama. The palace site was once occupied by a hunting lodge and a shrine to San Ildefonso, administered by Hieronymite monks . Commissioned by the Bourbon king Felipe V in 1719, the palace has been described as the first great building of the Spanish Bourbon dynasty.

Right in front of the cathedral, this lovely historic square comes alive every night and especially on weekends, when visiting Madrileños and locals gather at chic cafés that line the square's perimeter.

Built in the 15th century by the Archbishop of Seville, the incredible Castillo de Coca is considered to be one of the best castles in Spain. An excellent example of the Gothic and Mudéjar styles, 30 mi / 45 min north of Segovia.
