Church of Agios Spyridon
This church is named for the patron saint of Corfu, St. Spyridon, who is said to have saved the island on more than one occasion. In fact, a large segment of the male population in Corfu is named "Spyros" in his honor. His remains lie in a silver coffin within the church.

Horseback Riding
If you love horses and long saunters through beautiful scenery, then Corfu will delight you. The island’s natural landscape with lush valleys, ancient olive groves, winding donkey paths and mountain trails is perfectly suited to exploring on horseback.
-
Angelokastro
“Castle of Angels” or "Angelos's castle" is located at the top of the highest peak of the island's shoreline in the northwest coast near Palaiokastritsa and is one of the most important Byzantine castles of Greece. The engineering of its construction at such a remote and forbidding location is remarkable by any standards, not only medieval.
-
Old Fortress
At one point in time, all of the residents of Corfu lived inside the walls of the Palaio Frourio, or Old Fortress. Some sections of the fortress offer breathtaking views of Corfu and its surroundings. The other main highlight found here is the Church of St. George, which is a good example of classic Doric architecture.
