					Numerous "Blue Caves", are cut into cliffs around Cape Skinari, and accessible only by small boats. Sunrays reflect through blue sea water from white stones of cave bottoms and walls, creating interesting effects

					Zakynthos town
 
  
 
            
			
				
					Zakynthos offers many interesting things to the visitor such as the famous church of San Dionisio, that keeps the relics of the saint, the numerous museums and the characteristic squares of D. Solomos and Saint Mark. And also nothing could be more relaxing than a walk along the Strada Marina as the cool sea breeze ruffles the brim of your sun hat.

					Navagio beach
 
  
 
            
			
				
					The most famous landmark of the island is the Navagio beach. It is a cove on the southwest shore, isolated by high cliffs and accessible only by boat. It is named after a shipwreck (MV Panagiotis), which sunk on the shore around 1980. Originally a smuggler ship, which lost engine power and was washed ashore in this magnificent small bay. Featured in Greek tourist ads, it is on the west coast and best visited by going there from Porto Vromi.

					Horseback Riding
 
  
 
            
			
				
					Zakynthos Island you can explore not only by car or by bus but also riding a horse - due to the small size of the island, it is perfectly possible to ride a complete lap of the island, stopping at some interesting places on the way.

					Turtle spotting
 
  
 
            
			
				
					The endangered loggerhead turtle uses the beaches for its nesting, and a marine reserve has been established in the south around the Laganas bay area to protect these. Many outfits in Laganas, Kalamaki and even Vassilikos offer short or full day trips including swim stops to look for these turtles.

					Base Jumping
 
  
 
            
			
				
					From 2011 the extreme sport base jump take's place in Zakyntos island. Professionals base jumpers come to Navagio beach (also known Shipwreck) each year to jump with a parachutte from the 200 meters rocks and clifs.
