The Atlas Mountains is a mountain range across the northwestern stretch of Africa extending about 2,500 km through Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. The highest peak is Toubkal, with an elevation of 4,165 metres in southwestern Morocco.

Agadir and Essaouira have great waves and secluded beaches which are all easily accessible. There are a lot of surf schools and shops, and wind/kitesurf rentals. The best surf season is from November until March. The wind is strongest in the summer, peaking in Jul and Aug.
