    Koktebel is one of the most popular resort townlets in the Crimea. It is best known for its literary associations. The Russian poet Maximilian Voloshin made it his residence, where he entertained many distinguished guests, including Marina Tsvetayeva, Osip Mandelshtam, and Andrey Bely (who died there). They all wrote remarkable poems in Koktebel. Imposing sea cliffs of Karadag preserve are just next to the town

    There are dozen of cave cities in Crimea. The most famous are Mangup Kale, Chufut Kale and Eski Kermen. They are located high up in the cliffs with nice views. Cave city is what appears to have been several thousand people who built/dug their homes into the limestone rock.
