Two most iconic Utah ski resorts, famous for steep terrain and "the best powder on Earth". Alta is more hardcore: only 7 lifts (half of them slow non-detachable ones), long traverses and hikes to access the best shoots; no dogs, no snowboarders. Solitude is another good resort in the area (it is however in a parallel canyon - not inter-connected)

The Great Salt Lake is a great salt lake, indeed. It is the largest salt water lake in the Western Hemisphere, and the fourth-largest terminal lake in the world. Although it has been called "America's Dead Sea", the lake provides habitat for millions of native birds, brine shrimp, shorebirds, and waterfowl.
There is a State Park on its Antelope Island. It features an abundant wildlife population, including one of the largest free roaming herds of American Bison in the U.S. Other animals at the park include Pronghorn, Bighorn Sheep, Mule Deer and a wide variety of waterfowl, wading birds and small mammals and reptiles.

The Salt Lake Temple is the largest of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, surrounded by a 10-acre Temple Square complex. The latter also features the Mormon Tabernacle, The Church History Museum and the Salt Lake Assembly Hall.

There are three good ski resorts around Park City: Canyons, Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort. Snowbasin and a couple more are a bit farther north

The range contains several canyons. Logan and American Fork Canyon (among others) are limestone; Big Cottonwood Canyon is quartzite, and Little Cottonwood Canyon is granite-like quartz monzonite. Superb climbing in all four of these. In addition Bell's Canyon, near Salt Lake City, and Rock Canyon, near Provo, deserve mention.

The Natural History Museum of Utah is a museum located at the Rio Tinto Center on the campus of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States.

The Beehive House is one of the two official residences of Brigham Young, an early leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Beehive House gets its name from the Beehive sculpture atop the house.
