  This uninhabited island is famous for Maya Bay - the beach where "The Beach" movie was shot, visited daily by boatloads of tourists. The Phaya Naak cave is also located here, with prehistoric paintings and black swiftlets that make edible birds' nests highly prized by Chinese gourmets.

  The best dive sites around Phi Phi include Ko Bida Nok - the tiny island that attracts leopard sharks and turtles, Wang Long - cave systems explored by experienced divers only, Anemone Reef that's home to huge schools of tropical fish as well as barracuda, and King Cruiser Wreck - a decent wreck dive.

  A steep 20-minute walk up from Tong Sai Bay, the Viewpoint gives a great view over the turquoise Loh Dalam bay, the darker blue Ton Sai Bay, and the thin strip of land in between. From the Viewpoint, trails run to the island's more remote beaches as well.

  Besides Ko Phi Phi Don's main Ton Sai and Loh Dalam beaches, the compact Yao beach offers good snorkeling, secluded Hin Khao beach is only accessible on foot, the white strips of Laem Hin and Long Beach are easily accessible by longtail boat, as is Monkey Beach - good for spotting macaques.

  Cliff jumping is popular on the Phi Phi islands, either DIY or with Ibex Climbing and Tours There are cliffs from 6 to 16 m that are ideal for cliff jumping due to the depth of water below. Also a jump spot (~20 m) located in Ko Yung Island on one of the creeks behind the Maya Bay.
