    Beqa Lagoon
    The waters around Beqa Island offer some of Fiji's best diving, with over 100 dive sites in Beqa Lagoon. The Shark Reef Marine Reserve attracts tiger and bull sharks. There are immense coral reefs and wreck dives. Schools of barracuda, eels, lionfish, octopus.

    Mamanuca Islands
    A chain of 20 islands, Mamanuca Islands offer Gotham City and Big W dives, challenging surf breaks, parasailing, dolphin-watching and windsurfing, as well as secluded beaches, picture-perfect uninhabited isles ("Castaway" was filmed here) and pounding nightlife on Beachcomber, the party resort island.

    The jungle-covered Taveuni Island offers good hiking up its volcanic peaks and along the Lavena Coastal Walk. You can also swim in the 60ft Tavoro Waterfall, hurtle down the natural Waitavala water slide, dive the Rainbow Reef and snorkel in the Vuna Lagoon. Check out endemic animal life: land crabs, Fiji fruit bat, Taveuni silk bat.

    Described as one of the Top Ten most challenging waves in the world, Cloudbreak is a menacing barrel wave that attracts best big wave surfers. Kitesurfers and windsurfers occasionally ride it, too. You have to stay at Tavarua Surf Resort to surf it (or get there by a day boat)

  • Great Astrolabe Reef

    Great Astrolabe Reef
    The fourth largest barrier reef in the world, Great Astrolabe Reef encompasses Kadavu, Ono and Buliya islands and is a top diving site with great visibility - up to 40m. Dive with sharks, mahi-mahi, snapper, tuna and giant trevally. Snorkel or dive with manta rays at Buliya.

    Kula Eco Park is an ecological preserve on Fiji's largest island, Viti Levu, near Sigatoka. It displays indigenous flora and fauna, including reptiles, bird life, amphibians, tropical fish, the Fiji Flying Fox (Fiji's only native mammal), insects, butterflies and a wide range of trees and shrubs.
