Best time to go:
The most pleasant time to visit Vilnius and Kaunas is in the summer months. Many of Vilnius's festivals are held in summer, but jazz fans should head to Kaunas in April.
How to get there
By plane to Vilnius airport, just 5 mi / 10 min from the city center. Kaunas is 65 mi / 1 hr away by car or train from Vilnius (it has its own airport, too)
