Attractions and sights

The Chocolate Hills in Bohol constitute a unique landscape. There are at least 1,268 of these cone-shaped limestone karst mounds covered with greenery. and during the dry season, when the grass covering them dies, they look remarkably like rows of giant chocolates.
-
The government-run Chocolate Hills Complex Hotel is the only place to stay in the Chocolate Hills. Located at the top of one of the conical hills, the complex is a little rundown, but has a swimming pool and its biggest draw is the location - ideal for watching the sun rise above the bizarre hilly landscape.
-
Sagbayan Peak is a hilltop resort with a swimming pool and a host of other amenities. Its biggest advantage is the viewing deck on an elevated ridge that provides 360 degree views over the Chocolate Hills
-
The Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella is dedicated to the conservation of the endangered Philippine Tarsier and its habitat. Tarsiers are the world's smallest primates, virtually unchanged for over 45 million years. At the sanctuary it's possible to walk the nature trails and observe the Tarsiers in their natural environment.
-
Rajah Sikatuna National Park is an enormous 9000-hectare protected area of molave forest and grasslands, within easy reach of the Chocolate Hills. It has a number of hiking trails and is home to animals such as lemurs, civets, monitor lizards, monkeys and tarsiers, as well as numerous species of birds.

One of Bohol's most popular attractions, a cruise along the Loboc River typically starts aboard one of the floating restaurants near the town of Loboc. An hour-long jaunt along the river, surrounded by thick jungle, takes you up to some small waterfalls, at which point the boat turns back. A popular stop along the way involves performances by locals, such as the children's choir
